Your coach

Hailey Barzilay

I started artistic gymnastics when I was 4, switched to rhythmic at 7, and competed internationally until I was 16. I also spent my early teens in cheerleading and acrobatics — all while dancing every style I could explore. Training under coaches from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Germany, and more gave me a foundation most coaches don't have. That background shapes everything about how I coach — body-apparatus coordination, a holistic approach to movement, and high standards from day one. But the thing I carry most from those years is the community. The bonds you build training alongside other girls, the shared discipline that forms from a young age, the feeling of belonging, the coach who believes in you before you believe in yourself — that's what I want every class to feel like.

I spent three years as Head Coach at Elite Gymnastics Bangkok, running the full program for athletes aged 4–14, choreographing routines to the FIG Code of Points, and mentoring other coaches. Before that I was the assistant, learning from a Belarusian head coach — a former ballerina — whose precision and artistry shaped the way I see the sport.

Now I live on the Gold Coast, and I want every student in my classes to feel the same love for this sport that I do.
